Here's a pattern most lawn owners know well.
You feed the lawn. It greens up. Looks great for a week or two. Then it fades, the patches come back, and you're buying more product to get the same short-lived result.
The product isn't the problem. The foundation is.
Shallow roots are the hidden reason most Australian lawns underperform. When roots don't go deep, the lawn can't access water reserves during heat, can't hold onto nutrients, and can't recover properly after wear or stress. Every product you apply works at a fraction of its potential because there's no root system strong enough to support it.
Vital works where it actually matters. Underground.
What it does
A professional-grade turf root stimulator containing natural auxins (IAA and NAA) — the plant hormones that directly trigger root initiation and development — plus a high concentration of Vitamin B1 to support root resilience and recovery under stress.
This is the same technology used on professional sports turf, stadium pitches, and golf courses. Now formulated for home lawn application. The result is a root system that goes deeper, holds moisture longer, accesses more nutrients, and keeps the lawn performing when conditions get tough.
Application rate
100ml per 100m2. Mix into 10L of water. Apply evenly. Can be mixed with Soak and Base in the same tank pass. Water in lightly after application — immediately if temperatures exceed 30 degrees.
Apply every 3 to 4 weeks during the growing season. Use after heat stress, heavy wear, renovation, or any time the lawn is recovering.
1L covers up to 1,000m2.
What to expect
Days 5 to 7: Visible improvement in lawn responsiveness. Greener, more upright growth as the lawn comes out of stress.
Weeks 2 to 3: Stronger growth response to feeding and watering as root mass develops.
Weeks 3 to 4: Deeper, denser root system established. Improved heat tolerance, drought resilience, and recovery speed that compounds with every application.
Why it works when other products haven't
The most common feedback: "I've tried everything and nothing sticks." That's almost always a root system problem.
When roots are shallow, the lawn is permanently in survival mode. It responds to feeding briefly, then retreats. Agricultural fertilisers don't address this — they push top growth and surface colour but don't stimulate root development or improve the lawn's ability to sustain that growth independently.
Vital does one thing. Build the root system that makes everything else work. Used consistently alongside Soak and Base as the soil layer of the program, the improvement compounds with every application.
Complete the program
Vital works harder when paired with the full two-layer approach. Most lawns need both layers to see results that hold.

Frequently asked questions
I've tried other root stimulators and didn't see a difference. Why will Vital be different?
Most products marketed as root stimulators are agricultural formulations, not turf-specific. Vital is formulated specifically for turf root systems. If you've also been dealing with hydrophobic soil, that compounds the issue significantly — roots can't develop properly in soil that water can't penetrate. Pair Vital with Soak for the full foundation.
Will Vital make my lawn green quickly?
Vital stimulates roots first, which then drives better colour and stress resilience over time. If you need fast visible colour, pair Vital with Surge or Vivid. Vital builds the foundation — Surge delivers the visible response on top.
When is the best time to use Vital?
Any time during the growing season, but particularly in autumn before growth slows — the last opportunity to build root depth before winter. Also after summer heat stress, heavy wear, and when laying new turf.
My lawn looks dead after summer. Is it too late?
Usually not. Most lawns that look dead after an Australian summer are dormant, not gone. Vital and Soak applied together is the standard recovery starting point. Give it 2 to 3 applications over 6 to 8 weeks before writing off any areas.
Can I mix Vital with other products?
Yes. Fully tank-mix compatible with Soak and Base. Apply all three together as your soil pass. Apply Surge and Vivid separately as your leaf pass.
How long does one bottle last?
At 100ml per 100m2, a 1L bottle covers up to 1,000m2 — the best coverage of any product in the range. For a standard 300 to 400m2 lawn, one bottle lasts a full season of monthly treatments.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes. Safe once dried after application and watered in, typically within a couple of hours.
