Title

Brown patches appearing overnight and spreading fast. This one isn't grubs or dry soil.

Circular patches that grow over days. A water-soaked look to the leaf early in the morning. Sometimes a pink or orange tinge at the edges, or a faint cottony web visible in the first light. You water it, you feed it, and it gets worse, because the problem is fungal, and feeding a diseased lawn often makes it spread faster.

Fungal disease needs a fungicide. Not more water, not more fertiliser.

What it does

A dual-active systemic fungicide containing 96g/L Azoxystrobin and 194g/L Triticonazole. The two actives come from different mode-of-action groups, which means broader disease control and lower resistance risk than a single-active product. Impala is absorbed through leaves, crowns and roots within 24 to 48 hours and provides up to 28 days of protection per application. It works both preventatively and curatively, so it suits both a planned program and an urgent response when disease is already visible.

Active constituents: 96g/L Azoxystrobin, 194g/L Triticonazole. Schedule 5, Caution.

What it controls

Dollar Spot, Brown Patch, Anthracnose, Grey Leaf Spot, Fusarium, Take-All Patch and Helminthosporium diseases.

Safe on all common Australian turf varieties including buffalo, couch, kikuyu and zoysia.

Application rate

60ml per 100m2 in 350ml to 1L of water per 100m2, using a backpack or garden sprayer. Begin applications before symptoms appear when conditions favour disease. Apply no more than 2 consecutive Impala applications at 28-day intervals, then rotate to a fungicide from a different mode-of-action group. Do not apply to stressed or water-deficient turf. Wear eye protection and gloves when handling.

Important: do not mix Impala with high-salt products or fertilisers. Do not apply Vivid on the same day as Impala, as Vivid contains ferrous sulphate which is incompatible.

One 250ml bottle covers approximately 416m2 per application.

What to expect

Within 24 to 48 hours: The actives are absorbed and fungal activity begins to slow.
Days 3 to 7: Disease spread halts. Existing damaged leaf will not recover, but the disease stops advancing into healthy turf.
Weeks 1 to 4: New growth emerges clean. Up to 28 days of protection from a single application.
Ongoing: Used preventatively when conditions favour disease, Impala stops outbreaks before they start, which is far more effective than treating established disease.

Why two actives matter

Azoxystrobin stops disease development by interrupting energy production in fungal cells and protects new growth for up to 28 days. Triticonazole disrupts fungal cell membrane function, delivering both protective and curative activity through the leaf, crown and root. Together they cover leaf, crown and root diseases at once, and because they work through different mechanisms, the risk of the fungus developing resistance is significantly lower than with a single-active product. This is why rotating Impala with a different fungicide group is part of using it correctly.

Complete the program

Impala controls disease. A strong, well-fed lawn with good airflow and the right watering habits is far less susceptible to fungal disease in the first place.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply Impala preventatively?
Yes, and it is recommended. Preventative applications made when conditions favour disease are far more effective than waiting for symptoms. Once disease is established, curative control needs higher rates and precise timing.

How quickly will Impala work on existing disease?
Fungal activity stops quickly once applied. Visible recovery depends on how far the disease had progressed. Already-damaged leaf will not recover, but new growth emerges clean once the pathogen is controlled.

Can I use Impala with my Turf and Surf liquid products?
Yes, with one exception. Do not apply Vivid on the same day as Impala. Vivid contains ferrous sulphate, which is incompatible with Impala in the tank and on the leaf. Apply them on separate days. All other liquid products are compatible.

How many applications does a 250ml bottle provide?
At 60ml per 100m2, one 250ml bottle gives approximately 4 applications on a 100m2 lawn, or just over one full application on a 400m2 lawn.

Is Impala safe on buffalo grass?
Yes. Impala is registered for all common Australian turf varieties including buffalo, couch, kikuyu and zoysia.

What protective equipment do I need?
Impala is Schedule 5, Caution. Wear eye protection and chemical-resistant gloves when handling and applying. Keep children and pets off the lawn until the product has dried, typically 1 to 2 hours.

Can I apply Impala more than twice in a row?
No. Apply no more than 2 consecutive applications at 28-day intervals, then switch to a fungicide from a different mode-of-action group. Rotating groups is essential for resistance management and long-term control.
