What it does

A concentrated kelp-based soil conditioner powered by Tasmanian Bull Kelp — one of the most nutrient-dense natural sources of plant growth hormones available. Rich in natural auxins, cytokinins, and gibberellic acid, Base stimulates root and shoot development while improving the soil structure that supports long-term turf health. It also delivers gentle naturally occurring phosphorus and potassium without the aggressive growth push of synthetic fertilisers.

Used consistently, Base is the steady-state product that makes your entire program compound over time.

Application rate

120 to 150ml per 100m2. Mix into 5 to 6L of water. Apply evenly. Can be mixed with Soak and Vital in the same tank pass. Water in lightly after application — immediately if temperatures exceed 30 degrees. Use the higher rate (150ml) during periods of stress or active recovery.

Apply every 4 to 6 weeks as part of your regular program.

1L covers 650 to 800m2.

Why Base is the product most lawn programs are missing

When soil structure is poor, nutrients leach out before the plant can use them. When microbial activity is low, organic matter doesn't break down into the forms plants need. How is Base different from a regular fertiliser?
Base is a soil conditioner, not a fertiliser. It improves the soil environment so everything else performs better. Think of it as the product that makes your fertiliser work properly, rather than another fertiliser on top.

Will I see results quickly?
Base works on a longer timeframe than foliar products. The improvement happens in the soil and root zone — slower to appear but significantly more durable. By weeks 2 to 4 most people notice the lawn responding more strongly to everything in their program.

Is Base only for struggling lawns?
No. Base is the steady-state product in the program, used consistently on healthy lawns to maintain the soil environment and reduce long-term inputs.

Can I mix Base with other products?
Yes. Fully tank-mix compatible with Soak and Vital. All three can be applied together in a single pass as the soil layer.

My soil is compacted and hard, will Base help?
Yes, though severely compacted soils may also benefit from aeration alongside Base. Combined with Soak for water penetration and Vital for root development, it's the complete soil recovery program.

How long does one bottle last?

Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes. Safe once dried after application and watered in.
